Details of cottage
The building is an attractive traditional stone Welsh cottage about 150 years old. It is cosy and warm with central heating by storage heaters and is comfortably furnished with a simple cottage style decor, retaining many of the original features, including some low doorways (1.70m - 5ft 7ins).
It is carpeted throughout, excluding bathroom and kitchen.
Reception is good for mobile phones (2G) and for mobile broadband (3G) for some networks.

The small but convenient kitchen, overlooking the stream and back garden, has the original slate floor and is well equipped with a ceramic hob double-oven cooker, toaster, fridge, freezer and microwave.
At the front of the cottage is a small walled front garden.
Outside the back door is a mountain stream. A footbridge leads to the charming informal back garden with views of Dolwyddelan Castle, Snowdon and Moel Siabod. It has a profusion of flowers throughout the Spring and early Summer and a sheltered slate patio with garden chairs for picnics and sunbathing (weather permitting!). BBQ.
There is an outside WC.
Upstairs there are three bedrooms, sleeping up to 5 in all:
one with double bed
one with a single bed and a 27" wide bunk bed
one with a single bed. This small bedroom has a low doorway (1.70metres - 5ft 7ins) and a sloping roof.
Cot available free on request.
The bathroom has a washbasin, instant electric shower unit (no bath) and WC.
Hot water for the washbasin and kitchen is heated by an immersion heater.
The cottage is located in a quiet lane on the edge of the village.
Car parking is often available in the road opposite the front gate; otherwise on the road within 100yds.
We provide duvets, pillows and kitchen equipment. We offer duvet covers, sheets and towels at an extra charge of £4.50 per person per week. We have folders of tourist information.
Children are welcome, but we do not take pets. No smoking inside the cottage.
